Thank you everyone who participated in Wrigley Garden. Our 2 year project was a great success. We reached out to the Henderson Ave neighbors and made a difference in a big way.
We taught numerous school groups about seed starting, transplanting seedlings, how to harvest ripe produce, and how to make a yummy snack. The kids were so interested in where their food came from we decided to keep the schools involved and developed an ongoing program and have worked with a different school each year.
We held workshops on how to raise chickens in the city and even kept a few bee hives.
I am so happy to have had the opportunity to build this garden with you.
